Using G hook:

Rnd 1: 6 sc in sliding loop

Rnd 2: sc in each st around working in back loops only

Rnd 3-4: sc in each st around

Stuff firmly.

Back legs: (Make 2)

Using G hook:

Rnd 1: 8 sc in sliding loop

Rnd 2: sc in each st around working in back loop only

Rnd 3-7: sc in each stitch around

Fasten off. Stuff firmly.
To create a slight bent look in the back legs I then took some of the yarn and using a tapestry needle sewed the leg like this, sewing rounds 4 and 5 together:

Bulb leaves: (Make 3)

Using F hook:

Chain 4
Rnd 1: Sc in second chain from hook, 2 sc in next st, sc (4)

Rnd 2: Chain 1, sc in next st, 2 sc in next 2 st, sc in next st (6)

Rnd 3: Chain 1, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in last st (8)

Rnd 3: Chain 1, 2 sc in next 2 st, sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in next 2 st (12)

Rnd 4: Chain 1, sc across (12)

Rnd 5: Chain 1, sc2tog twice, sc in next 4 st, sc2tog twice (8)

Rnd 5: Chain 1, sc2tog, sc in next 4 st, sc2tog (6)

Rnd 6: Chain 1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 st, sc2tog (4)

Rnd 7: Chain 1, sc2tog twice (2)

Rnd 8: Sc in next 2 st (2)

Rnd 9: Sc2tog (1)

Rnd 10: Sc (1)

Fasten off.

Sew the edges of the three leaves together to create the bulb. This will leave you with an opening at the bottom which you will sew to the body, stuff firmly.

Vines: (Make 2)

Using G hook:

Rnd 1: Chain 14

Rnd 2: starting in second chain from hook, sc in each st (13)

Fasten off.

Next take a paper clip and unfold it so it lays mostly straight. Lay the paper clip in the middle of the vine you just made. Now take a tapestry needle and a length of the green yarn and sew the vine over the paper clip like this:

Leaving some of the paper clip hanging out on both sides. Fasten off.

Bulb for vine: (Make 2)

Rnd 1: 4 sc in sliding loop

Rnd 2: sc2tog twice (2)

Rnd 3: sc2tog (1)

Rnd 4: sc (1)

Slide the bulb over the smaller amount of paper clip that is sticking out and then fasten it on to the vine part using a tapestry needle.

Toes: (Do to each leg)
Attach the white yarn between rounds 1 and 2 of foot. Then chain 2, sl stitch in second chain from hook, sl stitch back into foot between rounds 1 and 2. Repeat 2 more times.

To put everything together:

First fasten the ears to the head, then using red and white felt make eyes and put those on the head. To do this I used fabric glue. For the mouth and nose I just sewed on a small amount of black thread.

Now attach the head to the body, mine I put at a slight angle but you can put it looking whichever way you want. Attach front legs and back legs to body. Sew on bulb.

The vines I then sewed on right where the bulb and body meet. Stick the paper clip that is sticking out into the body and then sew the vine onto the body.

For the green spots I just made random shapes using different number of chains and then sewed them on. For example:

Chain 4,
sc in second chain from hook and across (3)
2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 (4)
Sc2tog twice (2)
sc2tog (1)

Fasten off.

Make as many as you want and sew them on as you like.

And there you have it! If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.
